St. David’s 64, Cary Christian 24: Nine carries, 203 yards and four touchdowns from Melvin Briggs led the No. 1 Warriors (11-0) past the Knights (3-8) in the 8-man 2A semifinals. St. David’s will play at Arendell Parrott at 6 p.m. in next week’s state championship in Kinston.
Wake Christian 42, Village Christian 0: The Bulldogs (8-3), No. 2 in the DIII 11-man bracket, trounced the Knights (4-6) and will host No. 6 Concord First Assembly next week.
