Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Jackson Stone, Greenfield School

Jackson Stone played a key role in both of his Greenfield School varsity boys soccer team’s wins last week, making him this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Jackson, a sophomore midfielder, scored a goal and provided an assist in each match as the Knights downed Pope John Paul II Catholic of Greenville 10-0 on Tuesday and prevailed 7-1 at Community Christian on Thursday. For the season, Jackson has 14 goals and 15 assists as Greenfield has roared out to an 11-1-1 mark is ranked No. 1 among North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 1-A teams by MaxPreps.com.
Jackson entered 10th grade with a 4.57 weighted GPA while taking all honors courses at Greenfield, where he also plays basketball and baseball. He is a member of the school’s chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well as Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy and secretary of Student Government Association.
The son of Lisa and Russell Stone of Wilson, Jackson is a member of Boy Scout Troop 6 at First Methodist Church in Wilson. He has completed his project toward becoming an Eagle Scout, pending review. Jackson has participated in United Way’s Teen Volunteer program and has worked as a volunteer youth soccer coach for Wilson Recreation Department.
Jackson plays for Wilson Youth Soccer Association ‘01 Explosion as well as the North Carolina Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program. He is a captain on all three of his soccer teams.
