CHARLOTTE CHRISTIAN GIRLS BOUNCE HPCA, 48-30

CHARLOTTE - Fifth-seeded Charlotte Christian's girls topped 12th-seeded High Point Christian Academy 48-30 in the first round of the NCISAA 3A basketball playoffs on Thursday.

The Knights improved to 20-10. The Cougars ended 8-17. Charlotte Christian led 34-8 at halftime.

Charlotte Christian advances to play fourth-seeded Wesleyan Christian Academy in the quarterfinals on Thursday. Site and time for that game are to be determined.
