ACA's Robinson charts college career
Taylor Robinson was never taken for granted by her first-year basketball coach.
Case in point, what does the future for the Lions mean without Robinson?
"Now I have to work," Asheville Christian Academy's John Williams joked Tuesday.
Robinson, who is an NCISAA all-state athlete in multiple sports, has committed to play college basketball for Covenant (Ga.).
Covenant became a Division III athletics program in 2013. The Christian liberal arts college is located in Lookout Mountain, Ga.
"There is no doubt we are going to miss her," Williams said.
"Taylor has done such a great job representing our school, and even representing the area this past weekend (in the North Carolina vs. South Carolina private school all-star basketball game in Charlotte)."
Robinson was an NCISAA 2-A all-state guard and All-Carolinas Athletic Association player for the Lions (16-11). She averaged a team-high 15.4 points a game to go along with 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.6 assists.
But her athletic gifts do not begin and end with basketball.
Robinson garnered all-state honors as an outside hitter for the Lions' NCISAA 2-A championship volleyball team in 2014. She had 302 kills, 272 digs and 28 service aces for ACA (26-6).
