Behind yet another balanced scoring effort, the Greenfield School varsity boys basketball team matched its season-high scoring output in a 99-71 win at home over Friendship Christian of Raleigh on Monday.
With their 15th straight win, the Knights pushed their record to 25-4 overall and remained spotless through seven 1-A/2-A Coastal Plain Independents Conference games. The Falcons, in their first year in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association, fell to 9-8 overall and 1-7 against CPIC foes.
Junior Creighton Lebo led a quartet in double figures for Greenfield with 20 points to go with seven rebounds. Classmate Jacari Outlaw was next with 19 points, seven rebounds and three blocks while fellow junior Trey Pittman had 16 points and 14 rebounds, 11 coming in the first half when the Knights built a 56-17 advantage by halftime. Junior point guards Jordan Lynch and Collin Guilford added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
M.J. Martin had 19 points to lead Friendship.
The Knights, ranked No. 2 among NCISAA 1-A teams, wrap up the regular season with a pair of home games, starting with Friday’s Senior Night matchup, which will honor Greenfield’s lone senior Bryson Baker, with CPIC archrival Wayne Country Day and a showdown Saturday at 2 p.m. against top-ranked Trinity Christian of Fayetteville.
