The Lady Spartans dropped a heartbreaker to visiting Halifax Academy Tuesday evening,losing a game that was neck and neck for the
majority of the contest.
“We lost momentum in the third and fourth quarters,” Spartans’ head coach Sandy Ross said. “Halifax outscored us 23-16 in the second
half, with their leading scorer netting 16 of her 21 points in the second half.”Kennedy Adcock led the Spartans with 22
points, followed by Becca Johnson with 11 and Bonnie Evans with seven. Ashley Dickerson and Lorena Negron added two points each.
Evans also recorded six assists, fi ve steals and two blocks, while Lorena Negron and Ashley Dickerson brought down seven rebounds each.
The Spartans, who dropped to 4-4 on the season with the loss, will return to action Friday night when they travel to face the Oakwood School in a critical conference matchup
