Halifax Academy’s strong first half too much for Bethel Christian

ROANOKE RAPIDS -- Bethel Christian fell behind early and couldn’t catch up in a 46-20 loss to Halifax Academy in the NCISAA 1A semifinals.

The Vikings went up 14-0 after one, but Austin Eubanks put the Trojans on the board with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Rodney Warren. Unfortunately, Halifax Academy scored the next 26, including a 34-6 advantage at halftime.

Bethel Christian ended the run with a 30-yard touchdown pass from Eubanks to Ikeem Kirkman to end the third quarter and Eubanks would add a 49-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth. Eubanks would finish the game 7 of 15 for 86 yards along with 17 carries for 139 yards.
