Mallorie Haines, Davidson Day: led her team to a 90-67 win over Langtree Charter. She set a new career-high with 51 points, seven rebounds and six steals. Haines, who took an unofficial visit to South Carolina last weekend, made nine 3-point shots and was 8-of-10 from the free throw line. Haines’ performance was the most points ever by a Mecklenburg County freshman, male or female. It’s the third-best single-game scoring performance in county history.
