From staff reports

Two days after a humbling experience at the hands of the top-ranked team in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 1-A ranks in Charlotte Victory Christian, the Greenfield School varsity girls basketball team returned to the win column with a 54-21 win over visiting DASH United on Monday

Senior Kaelyn Wall had a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds for the 1-A/2-A Coastal Plain Independents Conference Lady Knights (9-4), with Serenity McNair adding 13 points and handing out five assists. Jeallen Holland had 10 points and seven boards as Greenfield didn’t allow DASH to post a double-digit total in any quarter.

“We still had a sluggish start,” Greenfield head coach Bruce Wall said. “But everybody brought a lot of energy. We were diving on the floor for loose balls.”

GREENFIELD (54)
