FCD - SALEM BAPTIST
Forsyth Country Day struggled in the first half but took control with a dominating performance in the third quarter. The Furies trailed 16-10 at halftime but led 25-18 after three periods.
Tori Huggins led FCD bwith 12 points. Coach Monty Gray of FCD said his team didn’t have a lot of energy to start with.
“We were just flat,” he said. “It was a late game, 8 o’clock. But after we saw that we could score baskets on fast breaks it kind of helped us gain some momentum. And it gave us a little more confidence.’
Lydia Cardwell and Kavanna Held were the leading scorers for Salem Baptist with five points each.
