HIGH POINT — Nick Carroll and Ian Jones won the final doubles match 9-7 to push High Point Christian past Southwest Guilford 5-4 on Monday.
Southwest claimed a 4-2 advantage in singles before HPCA swept the doubles in its first match of the season. Carter Grice and Austin Perryman won the first doubles match for the Cougars, and Dickson Tam and Timothy Lo won the second. Tam and Perryman won singles matches.
Hayden Hmiel, Calvin Tam, Ali Cjaudhry and Alexander Payne were singles winners for Southwest, which drops to 0-3.
