Serve-receiving problems took a toll as the Community Christian School varsity volleyball team dropped a 25-16, 25-20, 25-15 decision to St. Thomas More of Raleigh on Tuesday.
Top performers for the Lady Cyclones included Lauren Pate with five aces, two assists and four kils; Logan Woodard with three service points, an assist and two kills; and Ava Pate with four service points, an ace and two kills.
CCS experienced defeat for the fifth time in six matches.
