HIGH POINT - High Point Christian quickly built a four-run lead in the first two innings en route to a 10-4 win against Trinity on Saturday at Oak View Baptist Church.
Dylan Wilkinson went 3 for 3 with a double, a home run and two RBIs to lead the Cougars (7-0-1), who led 6-2 through two innings. Bailey Edwards also went 3 for 4 with an RBI, while Luke Gesell (2 for 4, two doubles) and Zach McLean (2 for 4) also contributed well.
Zach Britton (2-0) picked up the win in three innings on the mound, while Curtis Dillon and Wilkinson each pitched two innings.
HPCA plays again Tuesday at Westchester Country Day, while Trinity visits Eastern Randolph.
