The Spartans (4-1) earned their second conference victor y of the season Friday evening against Epiphany. Kerr-Vance’s Colby Wilkerson pitched six innings, allowing two earned runs, while striking out four bat-ters. Colby Wilkerson also had a good day at the plate, getting hits in all four of his at bats and driving in a run.
Daniel Wilkerson (1-3, 2B, RBI), Jabe Mont-gomer y (3-5, 2B) and Wil Short (2-3) also provided run support for the Spartans.
“Our pitching was good for us again tonight and each game we seem to go to the plate with more and
more confidence,” Spartans’ coach TodWilkerson said.
Kerr-Vance will be back on the diamond this afternoon against 1A Carolina Independent Conference foe Halifax Academy.
