CCS trumps Trinity in regular-season finale
Seniors Bryce Pittman and Seth Huston sparked their Community Christian varsity boys basketball team to a 68-53 conquest of Trinity Christian of Greenville in the Cyclones’ home finale Tuesday at Williamson Gym on the ENCSD campus.
Pittman poured in 25 points to go with five rebounds while Huston collected 16 points and 18 rebounds as the Cyclones finished 17-6 overall and 8-2 and in second place in the fledgling Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association’s 2-A South Region.
Tavares Williams added 10 points and seven rebounds while Rylan Gay contributed eight points and three steals.
The Cyclones’ next test is the opening round of the South Region tournament Thursday, Feb. 23, on the campus of Campbell University in Buies Creek.
