2015 North Carolina Private School All-Star Game

BSN Sports and Badger Sport announce the 2015 North Carolina
Private School All-Star Basketball Game and Rosters
Charlotte, NC- February 17, 2015- Providence Day School will host the 2015 North Carolina Private School All-Star Basketball Game on Saturday, March 7th, 2015. The game will feature some of the top senior boys and girls basketball players in the state of North Carolina. The title sponsors for this year's game are BSN Sports and Badger Sport, and they will be providing all uniforms and apparel for the event. We are very excited to announce that this year's game will be broadcast by Time Warner Cable Sports Channel.
Head coaches and Athletic Directors from across the state nominated over 100 players for consideration for the game. Selection committees then worked to narrow the rosters down into two teams for each game that represent all of the classifications and regions from North Carolina.
The boy's game will feature 10 players that have already signed scholarships to play college basketball next season, and several more players that anticipate signing scholarships in the coming weeks. Freddy Johnson, the all time winningest coach in North Carolina history with over 900 career victories, will coach the East team. Coach Johnson has won seven NCISAA state championships, and was the Head Coach of the 2013 McDonald's All-American game. Burlington School's Ron Johnson will be the head coach for the West team. Coach Johnson has won over 300 high school games, including a state title at Cannon School in 2006. In North Carolina, he has been the head coach at Cannon School, Davidson Day, and Burlington School.
The girl's game will feature many of the top players in the state of North Carolina. Several of these players have already signed to play at the college level, and many more will be signing in the coming weeks. Pamela Tutor of Hobgood Academy will coach the East team. Dale Earnhardt from Rabun Gap will coach the West team. Coach Earnhardt is in his 15th year of coaching varsity girl's basketball in the NCISAA. During his career at Asheville School and Rabun Gap, he has over 275 wins and 12 appearances in the NCISAA tournament.
The games will take place in Mosack Athletic Center on the campus of Providence Day School. The girl's game will start at 1:00pm followed by the boy's game at 2:30pm. Admission for the games will be $7 for adults, $5 for students, and children under the age of 8 will be admitted for free.
In addition to the game, all players and coaches will participate in a community service project on the afternoon of Friday, March 6th in the Charlotte community.
