Several Conference Changes in Works for NCISAA

NCISAA changes

There are a few changes to NCISAA conferences next year.


Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill and Durham’s Carolina Friends are joining the Eastern Plains Independent 2A along with St. David’s, Trinity Academy Raleigh, Cary Christian, Grace Christian Raleigh and The O’Neal School in Southern Pines.


The Carolina Christian 1A Conference shed a few teams and added Grace Christian Sanford to Erwin’s Cape Fear Christian, Durham’s Cresset Christian Academy, Lee Christian, Raleigh’s Neuse Christian and Fayetteville’s Northwood Temple.


The Coastal Independent 1A/2A now has Raleigh’s St. Thomas More (2A), Rocky Mount Academy (2A), New Bern’s Epiphany School (2A), Faith Christian Rocky Mount (2A), Henderson’s Crossroads Christian (1A), Halifax Academy (1A), Greenville’s Oakwood School (1A) and Henderson’s Kerr-Vance Academy (1A).


The Coastal Plain Independent 1A has Winterville’s Christ Covenant, Wilson’s Community Christian, Greenville’s Pope John Paul II, Wilson’s Greenfield School, Wayne Christian and Wayne Country Day.


Wayne Christian is adding varsity 8-man football and will join the 1A division. Defending 1A champ Southampton Academy (Va.) is moving up to 2A.
