Calvary Day finishes atop final fall boys soccer rankings
FINAL Boys Soccer Top 25
1. Calvary Day 14-0
The Cougars were loaded from last year's 1-loss team and secured the NCISAA 3A title, which was arguably the state's deepest playoff field.

2. Carmel Christian 13-1
Aside from one loss to Rabun Gap (an NCISAA member in northern Georgia) was the only blemish for the Cougars en route to the NCISAA 4A title.
3. Westchester Country Day 13-2
The Cougars' only two losses came to Calvary Day in the regular season before capturing the NCISAA 2A title.
4. Concord Academy 11-3
The Eagles were NCISAA 3A runners-up to Calvary Day, falling 1-0 in the title match. Their regular-season losses came to No. 2 Carmel Christian and No. 12 Gaston Christian.
5. Ravenscroft 7-2
With only an upset loss to Wake Christian in the regular season, the Ravens were champions of arguably the best conference in the state. They reached the NCISAA 4A semifinals before bowing out to Rabun Gap.
6. Wesleyan Christian 5-5
The Trojans also reached the NCISAA 4A semifinals, knocking out Durham Academy in the quarterfinals. Wesleyan's only losses came to Rabun Gap (twice), Carmel Christian (twice), and Calvary Day.
7. Durham Academy 6-3
The Cavaliers' only regular-season losses came to Ravenscroft before falling 1-0 at home to Wesleyan Christian in the NCISAA 4A quarterfinals.
8. Coastal Christian 6-1
The Centurions were undefeated in the regular season but fell in the NCISAA 3A semifinals to eventual champ Calvary Day by a 2-1 score.
9. Cape Fear Academy 10-1
The Hurricanes, like their crosstown rival Coastal Christian (the two didn't play this year due to COVID-19 quarantines), were undefeated entering the playoffs. Cape Fear Academy lost 3-1 to Concord Academy in the NCISAA 3A semifinals.
10. Fayetteville Academy 8-4
The Eagles reached the NCISAA 2A title game, falling 3-2 to Westchester Country Day in the final minute. The three regular-season losses came to Cape Fear Academy (twice) and Coastal Christian.
11. Gaston Day 6-3
The NCISAA 2A semifinalists fell 2-1 in overtime to Fayetteville Academy. Prior to that, the Spartans only lost to Carmel Christian and Concord Academy.
12. Gaston Christian 9-2
The Eagles were dominant in their nine wins, but Concord Academy had their number in their second and third meetings. After winning 11-2 at Concord Academy, Gaston Christian fell 4-1 in the conference tournament and 5-0 in the playoffs.
13. Asheville School 7-4
After two overtime regular-season losses to Carolina Day, the Blues won the playoff matchup before bowing out against eventual state champ Calvary Day. The Blues were also the only North Carolina school other than Carmel Christian to defeat Rabun Gap on the year.
14. Greenfield School 9-3
The NCISAA 1A champions were only tripped up by Fayetteville Academy, Cape Fear Academy, and Richlands' Liberty Christian.
15. Wayne Country Day 7-2
The Chargers reached the NCISAA 2A semifinals, falling to eventual state champion Westchester Country Day (a fellow WCDS!) 2-1. The only regular-season blemish was a loss to 1A champ Greenfield.
16. Providence Day 10-3
The Chargers were conference champions and bowed out of the NCISAA 4A quarterfinals to Georgia's Rabun Gap. Regular-season losses came to Charlotte Latin and Carmel Christian.
17. Cary Academy 4-4
The Chargers (yes, that's three straight Chargers in the final rankings — no typos) fell twice to Durham Academy and Ravenscroft, including a 1-0 quarterfinal loss to the Ravens.
18. Hickory Christian 12-2
The Knights' lone losses were a 9-0 decision at Asheville School in the regular season and a 3-1 loss to Gaston Day in the playoffs.
19. Charlotte Latin 6-6
The Hawks had the unique accomplishment of splitting head-to-head meetings with all five conference opponents. Latin won 5-1 at Covenant Day in the NCISAA 4A playoffs before falling 1-0 to eventual state champ Carmel Christian.
20. Carolina Day 5-2
The Wildcats swept Asheville School in the regular season before falling in the state playoffs to the Blues. An upset loss to Asheville Christian was the only other blemish.
21. Trinity Academy (Raleigh) 5-1-1
The Tigers didn't have many regular season contests, but were undefeated with a tie to Cary Christian. They fell in the NCISAA 2A quarterfinals to Wayne Country Day.
22. Thales Academy (Rolesville) 8-3
The Knights fell in the NCISAA 2A quarterfinals with a 7-2 loss to Fayetteville Academy but still outscored opponents 45-21 on the year and claimed a conference title.
23. Covenant Day 6-5
The Lions fell in the playoffs to Charlotte Latin by a 5-1 score after edging the Hawks for second place in the conference standings in the regular season.
24. Fayetteville Christian 8-2
The Warriors were Sandhills Conference champions and bowed out in the first round of the NCISAA 3A playoffs with a 9-0 loss at Coastal Christian.
25. Wilson Christian 13-4
The N.C. Christian Schools Association 2A state champion Chargers had a tough schedule that included nonconference losses to Greenfield and Wayne Country Day.
