HIGH POINT — Secondseeded Wesleyan Christian Academy scored three goals in a 16-minute span of the second half to rally for a 5-3 victor y over seventh seeded Charlotte Christianin the quarter finals of the NCISAA 3A playoffs on Friday.
The Trojans (17-0-2) trailed 3-1 at halftime. Wesleyan advances to host the winner of No. 3 Cannon School (12-3-3)/No. 6 Charlotte Latin (11-8-1) in the semifinals on Tuesday. The finals will be Saturday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m. at Wesleyan.
Caleb Compton and Evan Allred scored two goals each for Wesleyan, while Chris Sepessy had one. Wesley Williams and Gyslain Ndayikengurukiye added two assists each for WCA, while Jonathan Greene had one. David Le and Matt Nusdeo split time in goal for the Trojans.
Each notched four saves. The Knights finished 9-10-1.
