HIGH POINT — Connor Robbins scored the decisive goal with 11 minutes to play as second-seeded Wesleyan Christian Academy rallied to defeat seventh-seeded CaryAcademy 3-2 in the NCISAA 3A quarterfinals on Friday night.
Cary (2-0) led 2-0 midway through the first half. Malik Ibrahim and Chris Sepessy scored for the Trojans to forge a 2-2 halftime tie.
Wesleyan (20-0-3) hosts the winner of the match between third-seeded Charlotte Countr y Day (14-1-4)
and Gaston Christian (18-2-1) in Tuesday’s semifinal. Time is to be determined.
