HPCA softball opened the season with a 8-1 win over visiting Central Davidson on Tuesday. HPCA scored 7 runs in the 2nd and added one run in the 3rd. Ashlyn Kennedy started the season with a nice performance in the circle striking out 10 and issuing 2 walks. Central was held to 3 hits on no errors. HPCA (1-0) plays Ledford at 1:00 Saturday at HPCA's home field in Wallburg. Lindsay Cecil went 2-3 (double and single) with 3 RBI, Raegan Thompson 1-3 (double) 2 RBI and Grace Young 1-3 (double) 2RBI.
