ST. DAVID’S BOYS 66, WESTCHESTER 63

RALEIGH — Fifth-seeded St. David’s boys edged 12th-seeded Westchester Country Day School 66-63 in the first round of the NCISAA 2A playoffs on Tuesday night.

The Wildcats capped their season 19-11. The Warriors improved to 21-3.

Westchester led 16-15 after the first quarter, then trailed 33-29 at halftime and 49-48 after three quarters.

St. David’s faces fourth-seeded Asheville Christian (19-8) in Thursday’s 8:30 p.m. semifinal at North Raleigh Christian Academy.
