Chargers fall to Wake Christian

A tumultous second quarter decked the Wilson Christian varsity boys basketball team Tuesday night, as the Chargers yielded 33 points in the second quarter en route to a 70-24 loss to ancient rival Wake Christian.

Junior Harrison Parker had 10 points for WCA, which remained winless through four contests. Senior Andrew Blalock had six.

Wake Christian, which climbed to 2-0, placed four scorers in double figures. Will Cockrell’s 20 points led the Bulldogs.

WCA trailed 16-8 after one quarter, but the second-period deluge left it down 49-20 at the half.

The Chargers host Raleigh New Life Camp on Friday, Nov. 30.
