Lady Knights blanked by Parrott
KINSTON — After four wins by a combined 18-1 score to start the season, the Greenfield School varsity girls soccer team encountered a different foe Monday. Arendell Parrott Academy — the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 3-A champion in 2019, the last full season — thumped the visiting Lady Knights 8-0.
“Parrott Academy proved to be a challenge as were overwhelmed by their ability on the attacking end,” Greenfield head coach Randol Mendoza said. “They created more opportunities and were able finish them in front of goal.”
Parrott (2-1) scored three goals in the first half.
Greenfield will visit Kerr-Vance Academy on Thursday.
