Greenfield, CCS bounced from NCISAA 1-A girls soccer postseason

On back-to-back days the girls soccer teams from Community Christian and Greenfield were held scoreless in being eliminated from the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 1-A playoffs in the second round..
The Lady Cyclones, the No. 8 seed, were stopped by No. 9 Hickory Christian 2-0 on Wednesday at CCS. Community Christian concluded its first season under head coach Monica Mills with a 10-6-1 mark. No further details were available on the match.
On Thursday, Greenfield was bounced 4-0 by host Grace Christian of Sanford. The Lady Knights, seeded 11th, finished 9-13 while No. 6 Grace Christian advanced to play No. 3 The Oakwood School in the third round.
Grace Christian scored in the first minute and then added two more goals in the final four minutes of the third half before tacking on the final goal in the fourth minute of the second half.
The Lady Knights were outshot 16-7 while senior goalkeeper Sumer Hassan made eight saves.
