Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Garrison Walker, Community Christian School
Garrison Walker has been a stalwart defender for the Community Christian School boys soccer team, helping the Cyclones turn around their season and making him this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Garrison, a senior stopper, helped the Cyclones go from an 0-7 start to winning seven of their next eight matches and putting them in contention in the 1-A Carolina Christian Conference. He earned all-conference acclaim last season.
The son of Beth and Bryan Walker of Clayton, Garrison is currently ranked No. 2 in his class at CCS, where he has a 4.5 weighted grade point average. He is secretary of the senior class and is also a member of Student Government Association, Beta Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He also runs track for the Cyclones.
Over the summer, Garrison worked as a volunteer in the emergency room at Wilson Medical Center. He plans to major in pre-med in college.
