Lane pours in 36 as CCS girls rip DASH

Freshman Morgan Lane followed her 32-point outburst Thursday with 36 points, more than 76 percent of her Community Christian School varsity girls basketball team's output in its 47-28 win against DASH United Homeschool team.

Lane's career high came in the Lady Cyclones' regular-season finale Friday night in Williamson Gym on the ENCSD campus.

CCS, now 5-12, got seven points, nine rebounds and six assists from senior Alex Jackson, while classmate Allison Bartlett hauled in 15 rebounds.

Elise Skinner's eight points led DASH, comprised of players from Wilson and Nash counties.

Community Christian, the No. 6 seed, will play at No. 3 Trinity Academy of Raleigh in the quarterfinals of the 1-A Carolina Christian Conference on Tuesday.
