The Patriots (1-0) won their season opener on the road behind terrific games from senior Deanthony Joyner and sophomores Ca den Hamlett. The running back ac counted for more than 335 yards of total offense and scored four touchdowns. Joyner had three rushing scores and one receiving touchdown in the FCS vic tory. Hamlett added two rush ing touchdowns and Jaden Crudup led the defense in tackles.
