Christ School lands big-time football transfer

Reynolds' defensive back and running back Kaedin Robinson has transferred to Christ School, according to Greenies coach Mark Moroz.

Robinson, a Division I recruit, transferred Friday after tearing an ACL in one of his knees - an injury that would keep him on the sideline the entire season - during the Rockets' first scrimmage of the season.

Robinson was named to the All-MAC team in 2016 and named to the Citizen-Times All-WNC team for his work on special teams.

The transfer will allow Robinson, who has a collegiate offer from Gardner-Webb, to maintain his final year of eligibility and play his senior season in the fall of 2018.

Robinson was a senior at Reynolds, but according to Christ School athletic rules, students can continue to participate in athletics if they turn 19 after Aug. 1.

Moroz said Robinson had the full support of Reynolds coach Shane Laws.

"This will give him an opportunity to have his senior season, and hopefully give him a chance to pick up more offers" Moroz said.

Robinson, in a note posted on his Twitter, thanked the Reynolds' coaching staff while announcing his departure from the school.
