St. David’s gave up an early touchdown but answeredthat with touchdowns on all eight first
half possessions to roll to a 70-6 win over Lasker’s Northeast Academy in a NCISAA eight-man football
win.
The Warriors are 5-0 and have scored at least 50 points in every game. “(Northeast) moved the
ball on the first two possessions, but the defense bowed up a little and I wasproud of that,” St. David’s
coach Daniel Evans said.
TURNING POINT
St. David’s led 8-6 midway the first quarter when the Eagles’ Matthew Little broke away for a potential
long touchdown run. The Warriors’ Melvin Briggsran down Little at the 5-yard line after a 72-yard gain. The St. David’s defense kept the Eagles out of the end zone then and for the rest of the game.

“This is a great seniorclass leading this team.They’re not just good athletes, there’s also good chemistry on this team, a lot of good guys,” said St. David’s coach Daniel Evans about his his team’s success so far this season.

John Mac Feeney, St. David’s: Bounced backfrom losing a fumble toscore on a 77-yard run atthe end of the game.
Braxton Montague, St. David’s: Scored a touchdownand led the defense.“Braxton is a defensiveleader for us and plays alot of different positionson defense and offense,filling in wherever weneed him,” Evans said.
