— Greenfield School claimed the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 1A boys soccer state championship on Saturday afternoon, beating Grace Christian of Sanford, 7-0.

It didn't take Greenfield long to score. In the first minute, Jeremy Alvarez found the net to put the Knights up 1-0. Then in the sixth minute, a corner kick by Richard Shealy found William Powell for another score, giving Greenfield a 2-0 lead.

Greenfield poured it on after that. R.J. Shealy added to the Kinghts' lead with a goal in the 13th minute. Then in the 31st minute, Sebastian Partida, Jr., added a goal. Finally, in the 34th minute, Jacob Wiggs found William Smith for the final goal of the first half.
