ROANOKE RAPIDS — Wilson Christian’s varsity girls basketball team found itself in the unwilling role as the answer to a Halifax Academy athletics trivia question Tuesday night.

The Lady Chargers were the team against which Lady Vikings senior Kelly Williams set the school career scoring record in Halifax Academy’s 62-30 victory. Williams torched WCA for 33 points, four more than the rest of her teammates combined, to reach the 2,074-point mark, tops in Lady Vikings history.

Presley Bissett bucketed 12 points to lead the Lady Chargers (3-2), who also got nine points from Julianne Attoe.

Wilson Christian is off until Tuesday, Dec. 1, when it hosts Christ Covenant of Winterville.
