Lady Chargers’ streak ended by Oak Forest
A seven-game winning streak went out the window to tip off 2022 for the Wilson Christian varsity girls basketball team, which suffered a 57-48 setback to visiting home school team, Oak Forest of Wake Forest, on Tuesday.
The Lady Chargers, now 11-3, fell behind early and could never catch the Warriors (12-1), who were led by Audrey Hendrix with 22 points.
Kate Hoskins netted 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and Chloe Villaverde had 15 points — on five 3-pointers —for the Lady Chargers, who will host Southside Christian of Clayton on Thursday.
