DURHAM — Amiyah Ware's offensive onslaught resulted in 29 total points and The Burlington School girls' basketball team defeated Mount Zion Christian Academy 63-53 Tuesday night.
Ware poured in 15 points in the second quarter and another 12 points in the third to help erase a four-point first-quarter deficit and push the visiting Spartans (5-3) to victory.
The freshman guard finished with 12 made field goals, six assists, four rebounds and two assists. She converted 5 of 6 free throw attempts
Sarah Hargrove provided 11 points and five rebounds and Ayanna Griggs supplied nine points and six boards as part of The Burlington School's contributions.
Shameen Brown's 21 points and Rayan Hazell's 12 points led the Mighty Warriors (3-3).
