Knights pound Wayne Christian in CPIC clash
Greenfield School kicked off a busy week of varsity girls soccer with a 10-1 thrashing of Wayne Christian at Forbes Field on Monday evening.
The Knights, now 5-2-2, rose to 3-0 in the 1-A/2-A Coastal Plain Independents Conference with their fourth straight win while the dropped to 1-5 and 1-3, respectively.
Darcy Dean recorded a hat trick and doled out an assist for the Knights while Avery Williams and Anna Ramsey Watson each netted two goals and an assist. Yazi Bullock totaled a goal and three assists while Lily Hesse and Juliette Suarez-Robles also scored a goal each. Louise Smith, Mattie Metts and Gabby Beddingfield each provided an assist in the rout.
Greenfield continues CPIC play Tuesday at Pope John Paul II Catholic High in Greenville and against Wayne Country Day at home Thursday.
