Burlington Christian Academy scored 10 goals after yielding the game’s first score in a 10-1 romp past host The Burlington School in a Triad Athletic Conference game at Springwood Park.
Adrian Casado scored three goals and assisted on two others for the Royals (6-7 overall, 4-5 Triad Athletic Conference).
The game ended via the mercy rule in the 65th minute.
Adam Hartley, Braden Riggs and Nathan Williams all had one goal and one assist. Harrison Jordan, Jack Mundy, Luke Wilburn and Matthew Wright, who played goalkeeper in the first half, also scored for BCA.
Bobby Oertel opened the scoring in the fifth minute for The Burlington School (0-9). Jordan’s goal in the 11th minute sparked BCA’s offensive surge.
