Faith wrecks Lady Chargers' opener
Visiting Faith Christian of Rocky Mount wrecked the softball season opener Monday for Wilson Christian the three-time defending North Carolina Christian School Association 2-A champion.
The Lady Patriots of the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 1-A ranks, ran to a 14-2 victory, shortened piling up seven runs each on WCA pitchers Kristen Raper and McKenna Griffin. Raper, the starter, last three innings but only one of her runs was earned.
The Lady Chargers, down 4-0 in the bottom of the second, scored twice on a single by Kelsey Parker and a triple by Haley Parker. Lindsey Scott singled to start the inning.
