Lady Chargers 6-0 after beating Wake
After spotting Wake Christian a run in the top of the first inning of Friday’s varsity softball nonconference game, host Wilson Christian scored the next 11 runs in a 11-1, six-inning victory.
It was the sixth straight win for the unbeaten Lady Chargers. Winning pitcher Haley Bunting allowed four hits and walked a pair while striking out seven. At the plate, she doubled and tripled while driving in two runs.
Casey Bunting homered and doubled to knock in two runs while Presley Bissett smacked a double and a triple. Sarah Carr doubled.
Wilson Christian will visit Raleigh Ravenscroft on Thursday and Cape Fear Christian in Erwin on Friday.
