The University Christian Lady Barracudas traveled to Rock Hill, SC to play non-conference NCISAA 2A opponent Westminster Catawba Christian School on Friday, August 16. Behind 12 kills and 8 digs from Peri Wall, 6 kills and 10 aces from Anna Grace Patel, 20 digs from Sophie Deese and 20 assists from Sarah Wilson the UCHS beat the home team 3-0 with set scores of 25-19, 25-14 and 25-18.
The win moves UCHS to 1-1 on the season and with Davidson Day School the next opponent at St. Stephens Lutheran School at 6pm on August 27. That contest will mark the first ever game for both teams in the newly formed Foothills Athletic Conference, a new league within the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association (NCISAA).
