Northeast Academy boys and girls basketball teams suffered losses to conference visitor Pungo Thursday. The girls were slighted 49-41 before the boys were handed a 71-44 loss.
Northeast Academy and Pungo girls were tied up at 35-35 after three complete quarters before Pungo went on to a 14-8 fourth period to finalize the win.
Scoring for the Eagles were Olivia Brown with 15, Anna Liverman with eight, Addie Piper with seven, Hailey Jilcott with six, Holly Byrum with three and Tracy Clark with two.
A 24-12 and 24-7 first and third quarter for Pungo’s boys proved deadly in the boys’ loss.
