Raleigh, N.C. — Cam Oates hit a trio of 3-pointers as Trinity Christian defeated Holly Springs 63-44 in the Millbrook Showcase presented by HighSchoolOT on Saturday evening.
Oates wasn't the only player making shots on Saturday. Marcus Boykin, Freddie Dillone, and Xavier Matthews each hit a 3-pointer in the first quarter as Trinity Christian took a 13-3 lead after one quarter.
Kaleb Scott had all three points for the Golden Hawks. Trinity held Holly Springs to just one field goal in the first quarter.
The Hawks found their footing in the second quarter, scoring 14 points — eight of which came from Scott. But the hole was too deep. Trinity Christian got five points from Oates in the second quarter and led 26-17 at halftime.
