Bulldogs throttle Chargers 83-54

RALEIGH — The Wilson Christian boys basketball team fell behind big early and never recovered in dropping a non-conference game at Wake Christian 83-54 on Thursday night.

The Bulldogs took a 22-7 lead after the first quarter as the Chargers couldn’t keep up with their more athletic foe.

"They were a lot quicker than us,” WCA head coach Joel Attoe said. "We missed a lot of shots in the first and third quarters. Their defense was just too fast.”

Senior center Colby Sullivan led the Chargers with 23 points, while Jared Burrell had 15.

Logan Davis paced Wake Christian (6-8) with 18 points, while Amani Gill had 12.

WCA (3-11) will host Hilltop Christian in a North Carolina Christian School Association District 3 matchup Friday night.
