Wesleyan hammers Davidson Day in baseball

HIGH POINT -Wesleyan smacked 11 hits, took advantage of five Davidson Day errors and cruised to a 12-2 victory in a game stopped after five innings because of the mercy rule Thursday.

Leading hitters for the Trojans included Jake Moebius (2 for 3, two RBIs), Nate Blakeney (1 for 3, two RBIs), Justin Olczak (2 for 4, double, one RBI), Seth McGee (1 for 3, one RBI), Ben Horkey (2 for 3, one RBI) and Patrick Baily (2 for 4, one RBI).

Winning pitcher Riley Isenhour tossed the first four innings, striking out seven, walking none and allowing two runs (one earned). Luke Davis pitched the fifth.
