Amiyah Ware posted 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists and The Burlington School collected its first victory of the season with a 58-39 defeat of Shining Light Academy.
Ayanna Griggs supplied 12 points and 11 rebounds to help boost the Spartans (1-2). Samantha Walker pitched in with 10 points and six steals and Aaliyah Coley added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Joy Cone led the way for the Knights (2-1) with 29 points — 20 of them coming in the third quarter.
