Chargers get shutout of RMA 5-0

The Wilson Christian Academy boys soccer team continued on its four-game win streak with a 5-0 victory over Rocky Mount Academy at home on Thursday night.

It didn’t take long for the Chargers (12-3-3) to strike. In the first minute, Robert Murray put his team ahead with an unassisted goal. Three minute later, Turner Provo advanced the lead, scoring in the fourth minute on an assist from Will Hoskins.

Elliot Resendiz kept up the offensive pace with a goal in the 19th minute and was assisted by Aiden Brown. Brown scored his own unassisted in the 26th minute as Wilson Christian took a 4-0 lead into the half.

In the 56th minute, Ethan Mitchell scored the final goal of the game, unassisted, as the Charger defense preserved the clean sheet the rest of the way.

Wilson Christian will play at Raleigh Neuse Christian Academy on Friday night.
