Lady Cyclones swept at Crossroads Christian
HENDERSON — After narrowly dropping the first game of Thursday’s varsity volleyball match, Community Christian was swept by host Crossroads Christian 26-24, 25-14, 25-14.
Lauren Pate led the Lady Cyclones, now 1-1, at the service line with five points, all aces, while Emily Boyette served seven points, with a pair of aces, to go with three assists. Pate and Anna Jackson each had two kills for CCS, which opens 1-A Coastal Independents Conference play Monday at The Oakwood School in Greenville before welcoming nonconference visitor Sanford Grace Christian in its home opener Tuesday at Peace Church.
