HIGH POINT — George Culp took a pass from Myles Patterson and scored the golden goal in the 88th minute as Westchester Country Day edged Statesville Christian 2-1 in overtime Monday at Westchester.Culp’s goal followed defender David Adams dropping back and stop-ping a ball headed toward the goal to keep theWildcats alive.Culp also put Westches-ter on the board in the sec-ond half. Wildcat keeper Cook Smith grabbed five saves.Westchester improves to 10-2 and plays at Forsyth Country Day on Friday at 6 p.m.
