Lady Chargers breeze past Heat
It didn’t take the Wilson Christian girls basketball team long to bounce back from Tuesday’s disappointing loss to Oak Forest, as the Lady Chargers took down visiting NCCSA 2-A East Region foe Liberty Christian, 48-18, Thursday evening.
The Lady Chargers, who improved to 11-2 on the season and 2-0 in East Region play, zipped out to a 20-3 lead after the first quarter and 33-9 lead at halftime against the Heat (1-5, 1-1).
“We had a much better performance tonight,” said Wilson Christian head coach Brian Trull. “We found our rhythm and took care of the ball. Everybody contributed.” Jocelyn Bailey led the Lady Chargers with 10 points, followed by Kate Hoskins with eight.
The Lady Chargers will host Hilltop Christian on Friday.
